Howard Webb urges VAR officials to intervene more often on soft penalties | Referees | The Guardian

Soccer! I've had a squirming feeling that "penalties will die out", in the long run. With soccer being a more "world" game, I think that penalties shall be at the end. In America games end in penalties-so the rest of the world will follow. A winner & a loser in every game. Soon we'll be like robots, never causing a foul. So penalties will be redundant.
