Dear Johnny, ARE ALIENS IN CHARGE?
What happens when UFOdex AI examines the possibility that non-human intelligence is influencing the direction of human civilization?
For more than 75 years, the public debate over UFOs has centered on a relatively simple question: Are UFOs real?
That question is now obsolete.
The much more consequential questions are these:
- Who is operating them?
- Why are they here?
- How long have they been here?
- And—most unsettling of all—are they merely observing humanity, or are they influencing it?
Using UFOdex, our AI-driven research system built to interrogate a a million page dataset of unique and specialized massive body of UFO/UAP literature and historical documentation, I recently posed an intentionally provocative question:
What is the evidence—or realistic possibility—that extraterrestrial races are actually influencing or manipulating human society, either for their own purposes or as part of a guided human evolution or transformation?
The resulting analysis is disturbing, fascinating, and worthy of serious consideration.
UFOdex did not find publicly irrefutable proof that extraterrestrials secretly govern Earth. In fact, its answer explicitly acknowledges that such conclusive public material evidence remains elusive.
But it identified a remarkable collection of testimony, documents, historical narratives and recurring patterns which, when analyzed together, raise a far larger question than whether UFOs simply exist.
What if the UFO phenomenon is not about visitation?
What if it is about management?
A PATTERN THAT MAY EXTEND ACROSS HUMAN HISTORY
One of the strengths of artificial intelligence—and one of the central ideas behind my book The AI Ufologist—is its ability to look beyond individual cases.
- Human researchers naturally specialize.
- One person studies Roswell.
- Another studies abductions.
- Another investigates MJ-12.
- Another studies ancient civilizations.
- Another investigates nuclear weapons encounters.
- Another follows crash-retrieval testimony.
But what happens when those categories are examined simultaneously?
UFOdex identified a recurring historical motif: cultures separated by vast distances and centuries repeatedly described powerful non-human beings descending from the sky, teaching humanity, establishing social systems, intervening in warfare and, in some traditions, participating in the creation or modification of humanity itself.
The UFOdex analysis points to traditions involving the Sumerian Anunnaki, Egyptian and Mesoamerican “gods,” Vedic flying vehicles, biblical Watchers and other accounts of beings descending from the heavens. Mainstream scholarship generally interprets these stories through mythology and religion, and that interpretation must be acknowledged. But UFOdex highlights the intriguing continuity between those ancient narratives and descriptions emerging from modern UFO encounters.
That does not prove extraterrestrial intervention.
But it creates a question worth asking: Are we seeing independent mythology—or humanity remembering variations of the same phenomenon?
THE ABDUCTION PHENOMENON CHANGES THE QUESTION
Modern abduction research makes the issue considerably more difficult to dismiss. Across thousands of reported experiences, researchers have documented recurring descriptions involving:
- involuntary removal from normal surroundings;
- medical examinations;
- reproductive and genetic procedures;
- telepathic communication;
- warnings involving nuclear war or ecological catastrophe; and
- profound behavioral or psychological changes following the experience.
Researchers including Budd Hopkins, Dr. John Mack and David Jacobs reached dramatically different interpretations of what these experiences ultimately mean, but all devoted substantial portions of their careers to studying what appeared to be a remarkably persistent phenomenon.
The UFOdex response cites Mack describing reports involving both genetic procedures and messages concerning catastrophic futures and the need for humanity to change.
This raises an extraordinary possibility.
If even some portion of these accounts represents interaction with an external intelligence, then the phenomenon is not simply observing humanity.
It is interacting with human biology, consciousness and behavior.
And possibly over generations.
THEN WE COME TO GOVERNMENT SECRECY
Here the implications become even more profound.
For decades, UFO researchers have alleged that portions of the U.S. national-security establishment accumulated extraordinary knowledge about UFOs while denying that knowledge publicly.
The UFOdex analysis connects alleged MJ-12 activities, crash retrievals, special-access programs, biological material, advanced propulsion research and highly compartmented projects into a potential architecture for controlling information about non-human intelligence.
Some of these claims remain disputed. They should be investigated rather than simply accepted.
But ask yourself the larger question:
- If governments recovered technology representing hundreds or thousands of years of scientific advancement, who would really control whom?
- Would elected presidents control the information?
- Congress?
- The Pentagon?
- Private contractors?
- Intelligence organizations?
Or could knowledge be so compartmented that only a tiny network actually understands what humanity possesses—and what agreements, relationships or interactions may have occurred?
The UFO question suddenly becomes a question about power.
TECHNOLOGY IS THE REAL CENTER OF THE UFO SECRET
Imagine for a moment that recovered or transferred technology includes genuine control of gravity, inertia, energy production or spacetime. The consequences would dwarf the UFO story itself.
- Transportation changes.
- Energy changes.
- Aerospace changes.
- Defense changes.
- Global economics changes.
- Entire industries could be disrupted.
- National power could shift almost overnight.
This provides a far more compelling motivation for secrecy than simple fear that the public cannot psychologically tolerate extraterrestrials.
Technology means power.
And control of revolutionary technology means geopolitical, military and economic supremacy. UFOdex highlights allegations that advanced propulsion, energy and medical technologies may have been sequestered inside highly classified programs rather than distributed into ordinary scientific research.
Whether every such allegation ultimately survives investigation is almost secondary to the importance of asking the question.
What technologies have been recovered, studied or intentionally withheld—and who controls access to them?
ARE THERE MULTIPLE NON-HUMAN AGENDAS?
An equally important insight from the UFOdex analysis is that we may be making a fundamental mistake when we speak about “the aliens.”
Human beings are not a single political entity. Why would extraterrestrial intelligence be?
The literature describes dramatically different forms of reported interaction.
- Some encounters appear frightening or coercive.
- Others appear observational.
- Still others involve messages emphasizing ecological responsibility, nuclear disarmament or human spiritual development.
The UFOdex synthesis therefore raises the possibility—not proof—of multiple non-human groups with different objectives. One source summarized in the analysis even argues that extraterrestrial involvement may encourage peaceful resolution of human conflict and discourage nuclear proliferation.
Other sources present a much darker interpretation. Shelsky and Kempland are quoted in the UFOdex analysis as warning:
“They seem to do whatever they want, when they want…”
and describing the possibility of humanity being subjected to a vast series of manipulations.
These are claims and interpretations—not established scientific findings. But the contrast is important. Perhaps the real situation is not simply humans versus aliens. It could conceivably involve competing influences, agendas and philosophies interacting with humanity simultaneously.
HUMAN EVOLUTION MAY BE THE BIGGEST QUESTION OF ALL
The UFOdex research repeatedly returned to another extraordinary theme: Human transformation.
- Genetic manipulation appears throughout modern abduction literature.
- “Gods” modifying humans appears in ancient traditions.
- Contactees repeatedly describe warnings or instructions about humanity's future.
Modern UFOs have demonstrated recurring interest in nuclear facilities and strategic weapons. And the phenomenon frequently appears at moments where technology, warfare, consciousness and civilization intersect.
The 2024 material included in the UFOdex corpus explicitly discusses ideas involving “human evolution and origins” being influenced by extraterrestrials and characterizes management by multiple extraterrestrial races as speculative but supported by circumstantial material.
Consider the implications.
- Perhaps humanity is neither completely controlled nor completely independent.
- Perhaps civilization is being nudged.
- A technological idea introduced here.
- A warning delivered there.
- A military capability demonstrated.
- A genetic intervention undertaken.
- A religious experience induced.
- A crash—or apparent crash—delivers technology.
- A disclosure follows decades later.
- Civilization moves another step.
- Not conquest.
- Cultivation.
AND THEN THERE IS DISCLOSURE ITSELF
The UFOdex analysis identifies the extraordinary persistence of secrecy as part of the phenomenon that must itself be explained.
If UFO secrecy were simply an embarrassing Cold War artifact, we might expect it eventually to collapse.
Instead, allegations of hidden programs, compartmentation, witness intimidation, selective disclosure and controlled releases have persisted across generations.
The analysis proposes a provocative possibility: What if disclosure itself is being managed?
The source describes disclosure as potentially “measured, planned, and possibly orchestrated in stages,” suggesting something closer to a managed transformation than a single dramatic announcement.
That possibility deserves considerable thought. Because if another intelligence has been interacting with humanity for decades—or centuries—perhaps the timetable for disclosure does not belong entirely to Washington.
THIS IS WHY UFOdex MATTERS
The value of UFOdex is not that artificial intelligence magically proves extraterrestrials control civilization. It cannot.
Its value is that AI can interrogate a body of evidence far larger than any individual researcher can reasonably hold in memory. Instead of searching for one document, UFOdex can ask:
- What patterns recur across thousands of documents?
- Which witnesses independently describe similar events?
- Which historical claims converge?
- Where do documents contradict one another?
- Which names repeatedly appear?
- What technologies repeatedly emerge?
- Do particular claims precede later discoveries?
- Are different UFO categories actually fragments of a larger phenomenon?

AI gives UFO research something it has desperately needed: the ability to move from collecting stories to analyzing systems.
THE QUESTION WE SHOULD NOW BE ASKING
The UFOdex conclusion is deliberately provocative. After integrating the material in its database, it finds a realistic possibility that advanced non-human intelligence could be exerting significant covert influence through reported genetic intervention, societal manipulation, selective technological transfer, psychological conditioning and interaction with human institutions.
That conclusion should not be mistaken for scientific proof.
It should be regarded as a hypothesis demanding investigation. And perhaps that distinction represents the next great step in UFO research.
We spent decades asking:
- Are UFOs real?
- Increasingly, the evidence forces us toward harder questions:
- Who are they?
- What do they want?
- Why are they interested in nuclear weapons, human genetics and consciousness?
- Who within our governments knows more than they admit?
- Has advanced technology been withheld from humanity?
- Are different non-human intelligences competing for influence?
- And finally:
Are we directing the future of human civilization entirely by ourselves?
Or have unseen hands occasionally been resting on the wheel?
That may sound like science fiction.
But the history of the UFO phenomenon suggests that the questions we once considered impossible often become the questions we eventually have no choice but to investigate. UFOdex gives us a new tool for doing exactly that.

It is time to stop asking only whether they are here.
