Alfred Hitchcock. Auteur!!

This was the 1st time Hitchcock was ever to be saw on film. After this-Hitchcock would always play an extra in his many movies. He said that on the day of his 1st movie- there was an actor hired to be that character on that day-but he didn't turn up-so Hitchcock being the director & wanted to not waste time-he filled in for him. Therefore, that started a precedent. Every time a film he made-would have him-Alfred Hitchcock, as an extra, being in the film-which everyone eventually knew, was he! Everyone who watched his movies, would wait until he appeared-which Hitchcock did-in all his movies!
